Who We Are
Christiana Frazee is the founder and principal of The Hazen Counsel, a faith-driven federal consulting and lobbying firm committed to advocating for redemptive policy in the heart of Washington, D.C. With a passion for public service and a calling to bring the Hope of Christ to Capitol Hill, Christiana established the firm in 2023 as a bold step of faith—one that now anchors her work at the intersection of influence and conviction.
The Hebrew meaning of the name Hazen — “one who cries out the truth” —captures Christiana’s core calling: to be a faithful voice for justice and hope in a broken world. The word Counsel is a reference to Jesus, our Wonderful Counselor (Isaiah 9:6), and is a daily reminder that His is the counsel she seeks.
Christiana started her career in the Office of the Governor of Florida before transitioning to Capitol Hill where she served as Congressional Scheduler and then Deputy Chief of Staff for a couple Members of Congress, cementing her reputation as a strategic planner, empathetic leader, and relentless executor. Later, as a political appointee to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, she transformed constituent services and congressional relations, achieving record low casework numbers through process innovation and proactive outreach. Before launching The Hazen Counsel, Christiana served as Vice President of a boutique lobbying firm, where she advised clients across diverse policy areas—from religious liberties to technology—leveraging her House and Executive Branch background to strengthen federal influence.
At The Hazen Counsel, she leads federal advocacy efforts for clients like Prison Fellowship, where she guides strategic campaigns to advance faith-based criminal justice reform. She draws on her years of experience in congressional offices and the executive branch, offering clients an insider’s fluency in committee dynamics, legislative strategy, and agency navigation. Her approach blends direct engagement with policymakers, rigorous policy analysis, a strong grasp of the political landscape, and thoughtful coalition-building to champion initiatives that make a tangible impact.
